Throughout history, there have been many occasions when a funeral and the customs surrounding it will not fit a standard classification like "Catholic" or "Chinese". There are controversial groups, obscure groups and historical groups, but all groups then and now face the passing of its members and follow some sort of custom to acknowledge the death.
