March Awareness Days, Weeks & Months

By: Molly Gorny | Date: Mon, March 2nd, 2015

March Awareness DaysEach month, awareness groups from around the world set aside days, weeks, or months to recognize worthwhile medical conditions, syndromes, diseases, or other important causes. The purpose behind these commemorations is to help increase awareness and sometimes to raise money. These dates are often set by presidential proclamation or other governmental action.

While providing the following calender of commemorations doesn’t mean that we endorse any of the particular groups or organizations, we think it is important to provide information to help individuals decide if they would like to support a particular cause. We encourage you to learn about the commemorations and pass the information along to others you think might be interested.

While the following listing includes only national or international commemorations, many groups sponsor awareness events in their local communities. We have provided links to the official webpages for the March Awareness Days that we have identified. If you are interested in learning more about the events that might be offered in your area, we suggest that you click on the link provided. If you find that a link is not working or you know of a March awareness day that is not listed, please let us know.
