Parents Not Married
My aunt passed and I’d like to know how to list the father of her children since they were not married.
We are very sorry for the loss of your aunt. In the area of the obituary where the “survived by” begins, I would suggest listing your aunt’s children followed by “…and their father, Joe Smith.”
Example: “She is survived by her children, Anna, Andrew, and Rene and their father, Joe Smith.”
